1. Hunting and Shooting Release / Waiver
The undersigned participant (“Participant”) in “Hunting and Shooting” at 12820 Old National Pike, Mt. Airy, MD for the Maryland 2026-2027 Hunting Season and Participant’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) (if Participant is under 18), in consideration for the opportunity to participate in such activity, individually affirm and agree that:
1. Acknowledgment of Risk. I fully understand and acknowledge that participating in the Hunting and Shooting activities may entail hazards, dangers, and other risks to bodily health, safety, and well-being. Such activities, risks, hazards, and dangers may include, but are not limited to: discharge of a weapon; driving and walking on unpaved, unimproved land; exposure to poisonous plants; tick bites and bee stings. I understand that the risks and dangers inherent in these activities may be caused by the negligence of Participant, the negligence of others, accidents, breaches of contract, forces of nature, human hostilities, or other causes, and knowingly accept those risks.
2. Obligations of the Participant. As a condition of participating, Participant shall learn and consistently follow the rules governing the activity, obey all instructions of designated leaders, and immediately alert designated leaders of perceived dangers or hazards.
3. Liability Waiver/Release. In consideration of participation and intending to be legally bound, I assume all risks and agree to release and hold harmless the Church, its service providers, employees, volunteers, directors, officers, and other agents from liabilities, claims, demands, actions, or losses arising from participation, travel to/from the activity, or related activities, including through negligence or carelessness of DRCC or its agents.
4. Conciliation. Any claim or dispute arising from or related to this Release/Waiver shall be brought within 12 months of occurrence or discovery (or forever waived), governed by Maryland law, and settled only by mediation or, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the then-current rules for Christian conciliation referenced in the original release.

2. Permission to Hunt / Property Policy
I hereby acknowledge the Damascus Road Community Church hunting permission and property rules.
Hunting is permitted on Church property during legal hunting seasons. During the 2026-2027 season there may be dates when church functions dictate “No Hunting.” Hunting is restricted to the eastern half of the property to exclude the Walk Thru Bethlehem area.
Hunting during the rifle season 11/28-12/12 will be highly restricted. You must obtain authorization from Eric prior to hunting.
No Hunting / time restrictions: Weekday morning hunts must be concluded by 10:00 AM. No hunting Sunday morning.
Before hunting: You must check in with Eric Closs at 240-394-0916 via text or voice.

House Rules - DRCC House Rules
- First come, first pick of stand or mutual agreement.
- All bucks taken must have 6 Antler Points or more AND be wider than the ears.
(If it is really close to the ears, make a judgement call and hold on the younger bucks so they grow up to be bigger bucks.)
